Chocolate Sprite Cake With German Chocolate Icing

The other day I wrote about how fantastic my Sprite Cake came out. Well my mom decided to try it out on a chocolate bundt cake. That cake turned out great. She followed the steps I posted in my Sprite Cake post. Then she added German Chocolate frosting she bought at the store. It was a hit. My dad loved it and had no idea it was made from just cake mix and sprite. I’m telling you, this is probably the simplest way to bake a cake.

To make this recipe, all you need is a greased or flour coated bundt cake pan or basic cake pan.  Mix together a box of your favorite cake and 12 oz of Sprite Zero. Bake per the instructions on the box. That is it!!

This is a VERY frugal recipe. Pillsbury cake mix and Duncan Hines often goes on sale for around $1.
