My niece recently graduated from High School and I wanted to make something for her rather than getting her a gift card. What is one gift that everyone loves??? Cold Hard Cash!
I had remembered seeing a frame with money in it that one of my friends had sitting on their dresser and I thought this would be a fantastic gift idea.
I just went to dollar tree and picked up an 8×10 frame for $1. Then I came home and typed ” In An Emergency Break The Glass.” I selected a large enough font to be creative and fill the entire page and printed it out. My printer is set to black and white, so I added a little border to the letters so my daughter could color it.
Then I just taped two $20 bills to the paper and put it in the frame. That was it. It took me about 10 minutes to complete from start to finish. My niece loved the gift and it was completely different from other typical gifts she received. She will actually remember this one. 
TIPS:
You will need to trim the printer paper down a bit to fit in the frame.
Use scotch tape or a glue stick to attach the bills to the paper
If you notice, I added Congratulations, Cori and a Graduation cap & diploma. I just printed out some letters and glued them to the paper. I found some clip art and glued that as well.
This was such an easy gift to make and very kid friendly. I used this as a gift for graduation, but you can use this for just about ANY occasion.

#BarbieIsMoving – Barbie Experience In DFW

Friday night I posted about the Free Barbie is Moving event happening in June 14-16th. I hope some of our readers were able to attend. Lilly and I attended the Friday event which was set up at North East Mall, in Hurst.
We were able to take a tour of Barbie’s home while she was away searching for a new place to live. My daughter, Lilly, had a great time. She was able to raid Barbie’s closet and walk down the runway. She had a ball.
I was impressed by the activities that were available for the kiddos. Not only was there a fashion show, but there was a face painting station and a Barbie mega bloks area. Lilly was able to create a Barbie house of her own out of Mega Bloks and she was able to bring it home with her. Check out Barbie’s poodle made of Mega bloks. Amazing!
Another fun activity we really enjoyed was making a dress for Barbie. Lilly was given a cute plain dress and then she placed a template over the fabric to create a design. From there she used markers to decorate her dress. It was so cool. Lilly was able to bring her dress home and put on her barbie. This takes paper dolls to a whole other level. Very fun.
Barbie and Mattel did a fantastic job with this event. Lilly and I had a blast. There were several little girls dressed up in their Barbie gear and were in heaven. Lots of happy parents everywhere.
