St. Patty’s Day Strawberries

final wood2

With all the Valentines Day talk and chocolate covered strawberries being advertised, I thought… Why not have St Patty’s Day strawberries? I’ve been toying in the kitchen lately and there were some Wilton Candy Melts left in my pantry. It just so happens I had green, white and cocoa.

I made these strawberries pretty quickly and they turned out so yummy. They were easy to make too.

My husband is the chef in our house and I’ve only had a few moments of brilliance. Most of the time, it’s a fail and Jason comes to my rescue and fixes it. 🙂 – I LOVE THAT MAN!

Anywho, here is the super simple recipe and pics. You could make these and look really fancy for all your friends. 😉

St. Patty’s Day Strawberries
  • 1 lb of Strawberries
  • Wilton White Candy Melts
  • Wilton Cocoa Candy Melts
  • Wilton Green Candy Melts
  • Almonds, finely chopped
  • Wilton Icing Writer
  1. Melt each color of candy melts in three different microwave safe bowls per the directions on the package
  2. Dip one strawberry at a time into which ever color you want to use. Set aside on a sheet of wax paper. From this point you can add the almonds to the dipped strawberry while it’s still well. If you want to use icing, wait until the candy has hardened, then draw the lines on the candied strawberry
  3. Once you have made all the strawberries the way you want them, store them in the refrigerator until ready to serve
